Mikey’s traditional hummus

Looking for something new to cook at home? Mikey is sharing his very own recipe for traditional Lebanese hummus.

  • Soak chickpeas 1/2LB with cold water and a teaspoon of baking soda overnight 


  • Strain water and rinse chickpeas and then boil them until cooked.  Make sure pieces are soft 


  • Cool down chickpeas and then put them in a food processor with two garlic cloves, fresh lemon juice, salt, and a couple of ice cubes


  • Blend to get a soft texture and then add a quarter cup of vegetable oil and tahini sauce and mix until you get a soft texture then add salt, lemon or acid citric if you want more
