Mikey’s traditional hummus
Looking for something new to cook at home? Mikey is sharing his very own recipe for traditional Lebanese hummus.
Soak chickpeas 1/2LB with cold water and a teaspoon of baking soda overnight
Strain water and rinse chickpeas and then boil them until cooked. Make sure pieces are soft
Cool down chickpeas and then put them in a food processor with two garlic cloves, fresh lemon juice, salt, and a couple of ice cubes
Blend to get a soft texture and then add a quarter cup of vegetable oil and tahini sauce and mix until you get a soft texture then add salt, lemon or acid citric if you want more
Bon appetite! Please share your hummus online and tag us @elbarberogroominglounge so we can check it out!
